ōriwa is an oil consumers will buy. Unlike many quality New Zealand, oils priced for special occasional use, ōriwa has a price point designed to make it affordable everyday.

Available in 250ml and 500ml in a dark glass bottle with a screw cap and plastic pourer insert. Also available in a clear, 1 litre bottle with a screw cap.
Volume and Supply
In 2007 production was 6000 litres. Volume is, however, increasing rapidly and should double in 2008 and double again in 2009. Production will eventually rise to a potential 50,000 to 100,000 litres per year as trees mature. The trees are spread around the Nelson region allowing Nelson Olives to guarantee quality and volume year on year.
Quality
Year on year ōriwa has consistently collected awards and medals for quality. As volumes increase Nelson Olives Ltd understands the necessity to keep quality control at the forefront of their business practises.

Flavour Profile
ōriwa 2008 is a complex perfectly balanced Extra Virgin Olive Oil in the robust style - green tomatoes, sweet tropical fruit, nougat and spice are all present on the nose, while the palate offers hints of creamy almond nuts and the bitterness of rocket or arugula. These savoury and sweet elements mingle with rising chilli pepper to create a superb persistent and lingering finish.
Release its delicious flavours by drizzling over warm fish, meat and vegetables. Enhance salads and pasta with its spicy freshness. Create a real taste treat by using it as a dip for fresh bread.
